Does the deposit I paid go toward the total cost of my tattoo?

Yes! Your deposit will be applied to the total cost of your tattoo. However, please note that deposits are non-refundable once paid. 

How long does a tattoo take to heal?

 

The initial healing process for tattoos typically takes about 2-3 weeks, depending on their size and placement.

However, it can take up to a full year for a tattoo to completely heal beneath the skin.

 

How often should I wash my fresh tattoo?

 

Make it a priority to wash your tattoo at least once daily using a gentle antibacterial soap.

It’s absolutely fine to shower and clean your tattoo during your regular bathing routine. However, avoid using a washcloth, as it can be abrasive and may harbor bacteria if reused.

 

What do I put on my tattoo?

Opt for a gentle, fragrance-free lotion to care for your skin. Avoid using A&D ointment, as its oily base can clog pores and overhydrate your skin and tattoo.

When can I go swimming after my tattoo appointment?

 

It's important to wait until your tattoo is fully healed before going swimming.

A fully healed tattoo will no longer have flakes, won't appear glossy, and won't feel itchy. Typically, it takes about three weeks for a tattoo to heal enough to safely soak in water.

 

 HOW PAINFUL IS GETTING A TATTOO

The reality is that getting a tattoo can be painful. However, the level of discomfort varies depending on the location of the tattoo and each person's sensitivity. Some areas are naturally more sensitive than others. Many clients ask us about numbing creams, and while there are numerous options available on the market, it's important to understand their limitations. One key consideration is that many numbing creams tend to wear off during the tattooing process, which can make the area feel even more sensitive once the effect fades. Numbing creams can often be purchased online, or prescribed by a doctor. If you’re considering using one, it’s essential to discuss it with your tattoo artist ahead of time to ensure it’s a suitable option for your session.

Can I get tattooed if I am sick or pregnant?

 

If you're feeling unwell, it's best to reschedule your appointment. Being sick lowers your tolerance for pain and stress, and your artist will appreciate not being exposed to any illnesses.

If you're pregnant, it's recommended to wait until after your baby is born to book your tattoo. The process can be too physically demanding and stressful for expectant mothers.

 

CAN I BRING IN A DESIGN OR GET ONE CUSTOM DRAWN FOR ME?

 

We always encourage our clients to do thorough research. Gather as much inspiration as possible to clearly communicate your vision to your artist.
